I agree newy. Let's get some edge rushers in here and see who pans out. Who knows are #28 pick edge rusher might be a bust. We need multiple picks. I don't trust the cowboys at drafting a DEs but I believe they could luck into one.

The problem with this theory it's counterintuitive for what Rod does. He's quanity over quality. We can only dress so many bodies on game day ... usually 8-9 guys. So ...

Lawrence, Tapper, Crawford, Collins, Paea, Mayowa, Thornton, Moore, Irving.

That's already 9 bodies ... Moore is probably the only one who is on the block. So unless we plan to cut his depth guys for rookies, I don't see many picks being drafted there.

He bashes the new signings as guys that'll never go to a pro bowl. Guess what Scruggs? None of the guys that left went to one either

you draft a lot because you know most wont make it.

the scary part will be if Dallas doesnt draft high end edge rushers, might go CB, might go RT. something other than doing what is right.

no way they draft 3, they might get udfa or FA after draft.
I figure they try to get 1 high, and maybe 1 lower.
But I expect only 1 will be drafted.

It would be wise to plan on replacing Tank, Gregory, Mayowa, Ashe, and maybe tapper (depending on how he plays this year). It probably won't happen, but let's be prepared for the worse case scenario and hope for the best.

i highly expect Dallas to draft 1. a smart team would draft 3. I have never accused Dallas of being smart in the last 10 years.

well the thing about that is church ,carr, wilcox,and mo had been in the marinelli system for what 3 years?
And in that 3 years, marinelli couldnt get them to play zone the right way, or be better players??
And this was a time when there wasnt much pass rush pressure.
If it was one or 2 guys, I might buy it, but this is 4 players that failed according to the FO.

So now they get some new guys and they will be better than those with 3 years in his system ??

I wont say they were worth what they got elsewhere, but probably more than what cowboys offered them.
Mo took a 1 year deal, I dont know if carr would have.
I think the plan is for heath and jones to be the safetys, and brown 1 cb, so they got nolan and will draft one more.
That might work. But it is risky to let all 4 go in one off season.
And I dont think all 4 are jags, maybe none of them are.

I'll never understand how they leave their best weapon on the sidelines on 3rd downs so much. I know they have a limit with him, but put a thumper in on more 1st downs so Zeke can be in on more.
