I'll never understand how they leave their best weapon on the sidelines on 3rd downs so much. I know they have a limit with him, but put a thumper in on more 1st downs so Zeke can be in on more.

Have you never seem the majesty of Lance Dunbar on third downs? I mean Zeke is ok, but let's not get crazy here.

Best receiver out of the backfield, best blocker in the backfield, best runner.

To be honest I'm almost equally as mad we don't run on 3rd & 5 more with Zeke in on 3rd down. That's a plus match-up if we'd work it more.

well the thing about that is church ,carr, wilcox,and mo had been in the marinelli system for what 3 years?
And in that 3 years, marinelli couldnt get them to play zone the right way, or be better players??
And this was a time when there wasnt much pass rush pressure.
If it was one or 2 guys, I might buy it, but this is 4 players that failed according to the FO.

So now they get some new guys and they will be better than those with 3 years in his system ??

I wont say they were worth what they got elsewhere, but probably more than what cowboys offered them.
Mo took a 1 year deal, I dont know if carr would have.
I think the plan is for heath and jones to be the safetys, and brown 1 cb, so they got nolan and will draft one more.
That might work. But it is risky to let all 4 go in one off season.
And I dont think all 4 are jags, maybe none of them are.

im not disagreeing, but the facts are, even if Rod gets more out of them, and he migth he has done it, they are still jags, thats it, bottom line. so we traded jags for jags of a different skill set, still jags, WE might, might might get more out of them. Its risky. This, changing the face of a defense that was 1 or 2 players away from the championship game.

Ok, so get close to getting to the chamionship game and say "well, we got a 4 year plan" Damn man you have had a 20 year plan that hasnt worked, and you get close and "nows the time for a partial change" Their big plan right now, is to change up teh defense, and than pray pray their 70 plus DC will hang on. IF he doesnt, and lets face reality, than you have to change up everything again. Your 4 year plan is back to 20 because we chose, chose to do things the hard way. Yet, when it comes to the mediocrity, here comes Cowboy fans to defend it in all its glory instead of being outraged they were clsoe and decided, "how best can we screw that up

well they were close in 2014 then decided they didnt need murray, so now they are doing it again.
Also they blame the defense for the failure in the playoffs, so they are going to redo it.
I agree, they were close, but part of the problem was poor coaching in the playoffs both times.

that i dont disagree with at all. Not to be a complainer or a non fan. they got out coaches, plain and simple. Garrett had one job, Slap Linehan and say "dont get cute" what happened, Linehan got cute.
