I find myself wondering about who is coaching Tony and how he is being coached. Seems like someone should be in his ear on the sidelines constantly reminding him of the situation the team is in.

Come to think of it, I have never seen Wade Wilson discussing anything with him. When he hits the sidelines, he's immediately with Garrett. Where is Wilson?

It is pretty clear he needs a mentor or at least a conscience so to speak. I don't see Wilson as that person. I don't see much of anything at all from him to be completely honest. It is almost like he doesn't exist.

Aikman in particular is a living testimonial to how much a QB needs that sounding board. He had that with Turner, who was able to juggle both the OC responsibilities and mentor role. I just don't believe that person is Wilson. Unfortunately, I don't see that as Garrett either, but honestly we do employ a QB coach.

What on earth does he do? About the only time I have heard from him is when he was suspended.

Talk about becoming "Romo-friendly"? How about an active QB coach?

At this point, I have heard more about Kitna guiding Romo than Wade Wilson. Something is wrong with that picture.

romo needs someone he respects, that person used to be BP. there is no one he really respects on this coaching staff.

I'm pretty sure he's up in a booth. I don't think he's ever on the sidelines during games.

How do you know what respect Romo has for coaches like Garrett or anyone else as far as that goes. Been talking to Tony or just putting your own personal feeling and acting like Tony feels the same way?

Bottom line, when the play isn't there, pull it down and run. 1) Romo may run for the 1st down, 2) Romo might make a play in the passing game by making the defense come up to stop him from running, creating some open passing lanes.

Troy is right and this IS constructive criticism. Going against Baltimore, this coaching staff warned him about #20, you just cannot throw things up for grabs with #20. He needs to learn that...he will.

Having said that, if we ever developed a defense we could trust, we would not ask Tony to make as many plays as he makes. He has won 70% of his games. I repeat, he has won 70% if his games. He has NOT fared well against good teams, but it takes a total TEAM effort to beat good teams.

dont want to get into a pissing match.

if he respects his coaches and (as we are hearing) they constantly tell him to avoid making stupid mistakes, why does he keep making the same mistakes again and again?

you must have been a student before, tell me if you were more likely to listen and correct yourself if you were told what to do by someone you respected or by someone you did not?

dont make this into "you are bashing romo". i like him and feel that he has the talent but that is the exact reason his mistakes are worse, because he has the talent to not make them. this is all about discipline and accountability, that is what this team lacks and that is what romo needs. that is why the finger points directly at JJ and wade, they are the "enablers" in this situation.

I'm stating a fact and that is you don't know what Romo feels neither do I and I don't claim to know it but this BS of well Romo does not respect the coaches is just that because you don't know that period. That is your feeling and you turn around and claim that is how Romo feels as well? That is a joke

Romo made some mistakes that does not mean he does not respect the coaches. Aikman had games where he threw multipul ints did he not respect his coaches?

We have played 2 games one Romo set a career high in did he respect the coach in that game? He has a bad game now he does not respect them? It is more than laughable

At least this is constructive criticism and not just more Romo bashing.

Exactly. Brady and Romo had similar stats Sunday. Give him a chance. Everyone has bad games. Super Tom should be 0-2.

What disappoints me the most, is that Cowboys fans are being so brutal on Romo for one bad game where he threw three interceptions (well, two and a fluke). I expect it out of the media, but fans are supposed to support their players to some degree, not turn on them after two games, which included a career game. This place is disturbing.

Maybe it's just trolls. I would be willing to pay for a forum that kept people like that out. This place is getting almost unreadable with all the anti-Romo crap.

By the way, I changed my graphic from Ware to Romo. Something about piling on just makes me pull for a guy more than ever.

Its about time someone like Aikman came out and said this..

Romo has to make better decisions.......

Romo wasnt forced to throw the ball to TO.....and Romo wasnt forced to throw the ball to Hurd.

If the excuses are the WR's cant get seperation....then Romo needs to throw the ball away.

The QB is responsiable to make decisions.....they can audible our of plays....and they decide where the ball is thrown. No where does it say that a QB must throw to his primary WR.

Better decisions by Romo....better chance the Cowboys have to win...... :)

Maybe if we didnt have one of the worst defenses in the NFL, our QB would not feel pressured to score 30+ a game.;)
:hammer:

This is what I've been saying lately. Ben Roethlisberger usually only has to put up 17 point to get the win. Tony has to feel like he needs 35-40 points. No wonder he hates to throw it away and punt.

You'll be hard pressed to find a Cowboy legend who won't resist the opportunity to critique Romo...And for many of you, it will simply lead you to trash the legends too

At some point, however, it may sink in that perhaps there's something to the criticisms
