I don't think Nate Jones was used to cover TEs, theo

I remember Nate Jones' role last year.

It was to get faked out of his socks, stumble and run about 7 yards behind the opponents' slot receiver (Welker).

And just like that, yet another thread becomes about Roy Williams...

I swear, some of you guys would try to figure out how to drag Roy's name into a conversation about the flippin' WEATHER...

"Kinda warm today, isn't it"??

Yeah, and it's all because Roy can't cover"...

And yet another poster takes everything too seriously.

Lighten up, Francis.

I think the Roy debates are ridiculously funny.

He's physical enough to tackle TEs as a Safety, but is he sturdy enough to stay healthy at it? Therein lies the dilemma.

He's a UFA after 2009, wouldn't surprise me if given the depth at CB once Jones is reinstated if he's not shopped. No way they'll re-sign him given the money tied up there and the youth with Jones, Jenkins, and Scandrick.

..you can not look away from the fact that Henry has been injured and missed games and/or had his effectiveness reduced because of those injuries every season he has been with us.

And that's just playing a CB position, where there is really very little designed contact at the position.

Having to come inside and play a SS/rover back secondary position means alot more run support and getting into contact from more players over the course of a season.

His knees and ankles have been unreliable over the course of a year to say the least.

I don't think he's really cut out for the position now. Maybe in the early daus of his career, but now..?

I'd really like to see us look at Jenkins or Scandrick be groomed for this position. Younger, less prone to injury, more aggressive and more speed than Henry.

We'll see.

He was good at blitzing -- mostly because some teams never bothered to block him.

COnsidering his comments on moving to FS, one has gotta love the attitude he brings.
