The afternoon practice is over, and there's lots of interesting tidbits that we'll share later on. But let's get straight to the good stuff.


Denver receiver Brandon Marshall had the message "21's No Champ" taped to teh back of his shoulder pads during the afternoon workout. The message was a clear response to Adam "Pacman" Jones' morning assertion that Marshall was no Terrell Owens.


When asked point blank if Jones could cover him, Marshall said: "Absolutely not."


When asked if Owens was 10 times stronger than him, Marshall said: "I'm 24 and he might be 34, so I hope not. If that's true, I've got some work to do."


Marshall said he doesn't mind the Denver media giving him the Baby T.O. label. Well, it's got to be the Denver media doing that, because I've never heard him called that. He made sure to cap the interview with some nice things to say about Jones. But Marshall also said there will be a new message tomorrow.


"Pacman's a good player, and I enjoy working with him and against him," Marshall said. "He's a great guy. New message tomorrow, definitely."

TO is a great example of someone who attached himself to an ICON in Jerry Rice and completely turned himself into an incredible player. Hard work folks, and these guys the Marshalls' of the world need to understand, you don't get anything, you have to bust your tail for it.

personally after watching hard knocks and seeing bennett's attitude and jones attitude I am feeling a little worried about the direction of the team.

You cant keep adding or trying to add superstars, you have to have balance.

My money says jay cutler and his incredible arm are going to torch the crap out of jones come saturday night. Unfortunately not enough to bump him from the roster though.

So hearing a guy like Brandon Marshall call him out like that is going to do nothing but make him more hungry.

Im not a Pacman fan myself and didnt want him to begin with and im definetely not rooting against him.

I hope he plays to his capabilities and I think he will.

I just dont know how long we can expect him to be on his best behavior.

I doubt Cutler buys into this nonsense. Its about more than just 1 or 2 players. Besdies Cutler knows that Pac could take it back the other way on him.

After all this time, I still can't understand this mentality. You would think after the TO experiment, we could have an open mind at least give our new acquisitions with questionable character a chance with us.

I think some of you have too strong a need to identify and or like every player on the roster.

These players don't live in our homes, they're not role models for our children, we don't have to work with them.

ITS NOT IMPORTANT THAT WE LOVE EVERY PLAYER! What is important is that every player do their job and contribute to a winning team.

If you think it's possible for a pro football team to field a team of 53 players you like, you're nuts!
