There's been speculation about Chris Canty signing with the Dolphins, and he certainly didn't do anything to stop that during a Sirius Radio appearance yesterday.


From the South Florida Sun-Sentinel (via Blogging the Boys):

"He did draft me," Canty said of Bill Parcells. "You know, I like Bill, and I've always said there's a part of me that's always going to be a Parcells' guy. I've played under Al Groh in college and then coming in as a rookie under Bill. What they instill in the brand of football that they play, it's been with me so that would be a good fit. But you know we have to wait and see.''​

At this point, it appears that there's a better chance Canty will be in Miami than Dallas next season.

Canty, according to his agent, wants a Tommy Kelly-type contract. The Cowboys were thinking more along the lines of about half that money.

Jay Ratliff, Canty's closest friend on the Cowboys, acknowledging that he could move to end is another sign that Canty's days in Dallas are probably done.

they did it last season when in the Nickel. we'd rarely be in the 3-4 on 3rd and long. maybe we can go back to some of that 3-3-5 look we used a decent amount in 07. so now we need 2 NT?
