With practice squad receiver Mike Jefferson missing the next four weeks because of an NFL suspension for violating the league's policy on steroids and related substances, the Cowboys signed Travis Wilson to the practice squad.
Wilson, who set records at Carrollton Creekview before attending Oklahoma, was a third-round pick by Cleveland in 2006 but had only two catches for 32 yards in four career games before his release this summer. He did not play in a game last year.
He had 105 catches for 1,315 yards and 17 touchdowns in 14 games at Oklahoma.
Jefferson's suspension will cost him $20,800 in salary.
