Ok this is not dorected at you personally, but just using your post as an example....

We, as fans on this forum, really need to check ourselves and this "need" (for lack of a better word) to trash, question the loyalty of, and openly call for the banning of fellow Cowboys fans just because they have a strong opinion, and especially if you disagree with it.

This is getting way out of hand on this forum. I've had my arguments with guys like 5, and with guys on the other side of the road, but I don't want them banned no matter how much I disagree with them. Banning is for other team's trolls, or ad spammers, not Cowboys fans you happen to disagree with regarding the cutting of Owens, level of homerism, etc.

I would think we can all give each other enough room to make the occasional kneejerk reaction that we may feel differently about after time to ponder it, but apparantly that is too much to ask in this new age of forum e-tough guys.

I would certainly hope the moderators are not being swayed by open calls for banning people like 5 who may be disagreeable, but the guy is a Cowboys fan. I don't question anybody's team loyalty unless they come right out and say they are done. You start banning Cowboys fans for having different opinions and you flush all good standing of this board right down the toilet. You might as well put in the TOS that a certain level of newspeak is expected, and differing opinions won't be tolerated.

In short, stop searching for reasons to question the loyalty of other fans and sissy boy calls for banning because you don't agree with them so you want them out of your sight.

No that does not sway us. I have actually had posters that I genuinely like give me an ultimatum that some poster is gone or they are gone. I won't name any names but both are gone. One of his own choice though free to return, the other later when he did get banned.

Some people cannot understand that we ban when no other solution is available to stop something that tears down the forum. No one on the staff relishes banning someone. Especially a fellow Cowboys fan. It happens because some fans think they are above the rules. Not here. No one is.

Our Guidelines are entirely what we base on banning someone. I have banned people I genuinely like but they could not respect the forum, how it is run, and they wanted to openly tear it down. Nothing will get you 86ed faster. We will catch the subtle little jabs and eventually enough will be enough.

There are guys who read here from another forum who openly trash us on their forum and we don't ban them. We don't ban fans of other teams for what they say on their forums either.

Have no fear though about what we listen to with regards to banning someone. It is about the rules. In some people's minds we give others too many chances. We would always rather err on that side than the too hasty side.

How did my name come into the discussion, I've rarely posted anything in this forum, trying to let this thread unfold on it's on, when you know I have lots to say about it?

For the record, I'm here for the Cowboys, and I've always been here for the boys. If people disagree with you, they simply revert to calling names, questioning your intelligence, your team loyalty.

Most people simply can't handle the fact that I'm telling the Cowboy fan exactly the way it is, and I'm not sugar coating it. I attack Romo because the guy has too many flaws, he chokes too much for my blood, and the majority of fans thinks he can do no wrong.

And also, most people can't really debate with me, they'd rather put a finger in their ear, or put me on ignore vs manning up and proving me wrong. It's safe to say, it's easier to agree than to disagree, so I guess I don't like the easy road.

So back to thread topic, most people in the organization are liars, and most people want to hear the lie. Canty tells the truth, and now people are smashing them. So much for the truth shall set you free.
