The main thing is this, if you discount our rookies and pacman then we have the shallowest secondary in the NFL. I mean we have what 3 safties and 2 CBs, or maybe 3 CBs?

We have Newman, Henry, Ball, Oglesby, Butler and Everett at cornerback and Williams, Hamlin, Watkins, Brown at safety. That's 10 players.

Plus the rookies and Jones.

Plenty of teams are more shallow in the secondary, especially if you don't count their rookies.

If Jones gets reinstated, we'll have three quality starters, a first-round rookie as our No. 4 cornerback and two other recent draft picks (Scandrick and Ball) as Nos. 5 and 6.

And some people are worried about Nos. 7-9?

How many teams would feel "comfortable" with their No. 7, 8 or 9 cornerback taking meaningful snaps?

No one could. No way to get experience that far down into the barrel even if they all were top notch.
