DMN Blog: Cory Procter will get another start

Vela is just another fan with a blog. He doesn't know what Procter's blocking assignments were on every play.

I've read enough of Vela to know good and well that he knows about football. You might not agree with him 100% of the time, but he knows football.

It didn't take a scholar to see that Proctor was over powered and missed some blocks in that game. I can think of three right now. It isn't hard to see a guy getting jacked up or missing the guy right in front of him or holding a guy by the shirt.

Hmm. That sounds like some of Proctor's missed blocks.

In fact, if Proctor would have blocked his guy, perhaps Romo would have been able to step up from the pressure from the edges when he almost got killed.

yup. Someone hit it on the nail earlier in the thread and said that we ran to the right a lot and thats the truth.

But the day we traded for holland people were running around on this board declaring holland the new starter and a better player, that was including over kosier.

its just silly. Then I see all these people the last couple of days saying procter cant block.

Now I see he is starting again. So I am just goofing on the people who need to go overborad.

Was it Proctor who replaced Gurode in the last game against the Eagles or Berger? Whoever it was played poorly. Jim Johnson is a master at exploiting weaknesses. I hope Proctor is prepared.

That was in the middle of the game and at center, not guard.

big difference. He should be more relaxed and with a week to prepare for the eagles he should be fine.

If he's smart and can handle Rogers for the most part then he should be able to handle the blitz and Philly is probably going to test him. They come up the middle a lot anyway.

There's a way to make them pay for that though and Romo is about the best QB in the NFL to roll away and make them pay.
