I would be really surprised if we didn't trade up to an early 2nd...

I'm not even sure we have enough to get an "early" second. I think we can move up, but an early second might take an awful lot.

The 51 is worth 390

the 32nd is worth 590

There was an excellent post a few days ago about the value chart... I dont have the patience at the moment to search....sorry,,,,do the math,, its is very feasable IMO.

Thanks Stephen Jones...errrr.. I mean Adam..for giving us this info ahead of time. Your efforts are greatly appreciated.

11 total picks but only 1 on Day One. I just can't see Adam's father sitting there. We will be trading up..count on it.

Should be..
1- 2nd
1- 3rd
2-4s
2-5s
2-6s
3-7s
but he is saying another 5th, so it may be one less 7 and one more 5

Yes, we have three fifths and only two sevenths.

Sounds like one of the questions on the Wonderlic. What's the common denominator?

That reminds me of this exact sentence I read in an article slamming Crabtree's Wonderlic score on a site called nextseasonsports.com:

"According to Wonderlic Inc, a score of 10 means your literate. Take that how you will"

All I know is that, either Adam researches all this info that he puts out there (which would make him a geek and needing a life), or he as then in!

I take the latter....

More ammunition for Jerry to wheel and deal on draft day. Can't wait what he's gonna do this year.

We only have one third round choice and that's Cleveland's.

The other went for Roy Williams. Archer should be embarassed he got this wrong.

i thought those picks added up to 12 instead of 11

Does anyone think we could maybe package some picks (since we have 11) and go get a first or an early second round pick?
I don't want to speculate where we will make trades...could do things like move up in the fifth to get a player we want.

BUT I will say that there is no WAY we draft 11 guys. We don't have 11 open roster spots and there aren't going to be more than 2 or 3 vets cut. I think we will end up making about 6-7 picks.

Short answer: yes

...at least concerning an early second....but I'd guess we'd lose the quite a bit in doing so.

IMO, it's only worth it if someone of incredible value drops WAAAAYYY down. If not, I'd only be interested in moving up a few spots to pick someone we were targeting. But that's just me. :)

Agreed. Hopefully JJ has or will be making some calls to teams in the early second to trade with. Personally I'd not try to move up too far and conserve the picks. One more pick and we'll have a dozen. Remember the Dirty Dozen?

it's our 2nd, 4th (from the Lions), 5th (158) and 6th (184)

that was 11 spots to 40

We can get a lot of depth and potential starting talent with three fifth round picks - WR, backup QB, DL/LB.
