Cowboys' odds and ends

Todd Archer

** The Cowboys have replaced their centuries old blue couches that were falling apart inside the locker room with new, black leather ones.

** Terence Newman has changed lockers. He has moved into Roy Williams' old spot, which was passed on to him by Darren Woodson with a personal message about the team's Super Bowl history.

** Mike Jenkins is wearing No. 21 after spending his rookie year in No. 31. I realize this is somewhat old news since he posted on his blog more than a month ago. Interesting that he said Roy Williams not to take No. 31 as a rookie.

** Tashard Choice is in Terrell Owens' old locker space.

** How small is the town (Warm Springs, Va.) of rookie tight end John Phillips? It does not have a stop light. And there's not one in the county either.

** Three guys with Cincinnati ties - DeAngelo Smith and Mike Mickens were UC corners. Tim Brewster, the Ball State tackle, played at Wyoming High. I'm hoping they know the greatness of Skyline Chili and Montgomery

Skyline chili is over rated...at least IMO.

Ha...I didnt' realize John Phillips was from Warm Springs. That's not too far from me. I ride my motorcycles out there pretty often. Good fishing out there too. Definitely in the sticks.

Must have been a post-it note that fell off and wasn't seen.

If this were MacMahon or Watkins, I wouldn't be shocked at all. That's their MO.

Archer OTOH is one of the better ones, so it seems more notable to me.

What's it going to be then, eh?

If overrated equals nauseating you are correct.

In the foothills of the VA appalachians, west of Staunton. About 15 minutes from WV.

I was born in Ohio, but I can't stand that stuff. Who in the world thought of putting cinnamon in chili and then putting it on top of pasta? Wow.

Said in jest....yet its true. You chide those that believe the best in the business, yet applaud those that don't. Makes perfect sense.

....and yet not one person has ever claimed Goose to be flawless...but I'm sure you'll suggest it.
