sad news, hopefully for his sake he can resume his career in NFL in some form.....it would suck to lose your freedom of movement and on top of that lose your career....

Going on Jones's history, I'd say he'll have a job with the Cowboys in some capacity for a long time to come. (we hope)

I really, really hate to be that guy, but a severed spinal cord pretty much means thare's no hope of that.

The best we can hope for is that he's able to rehab to a point where he's able to take care of himself and have some semblance of a normal life.

Maybe if he really wants, he can get back into scouting.

People can say what they want about Jerry, but if the man has proven one thing to me, its that he has a compassionate soul.

I see no reason why Jerry wouldnt welcome this man back with open arms when he is ready to return.

I seem to recall this forum being able to put together a message for Buffalo's Kevin Everett when he was injured a few years ago. Would it be possible to make a similar message for Mr. Behm? Would we have any means of conveying the message directly to the Dallas Cowboys or Behm himself?

Great idea, tomson. This is one of those guys that casual fans likely never knew his name, but worked tirelessly behind the scenes to help the franchise field the product we cheer for every day.

The least the forum could do is let he and his family know the fans care.

If they are saying its severed then its severed. Whether completely or not it is apparent he has severed the motor neurons and cannot walk. Hopefully he will have some function even if sensory only.

There is hope with the use of stem cells and research coming from that. Pray we will use non-embryonic stem cells to advance medicine and cure some of these neurological diseases and injuries.

Amen. I'm 100% for stem-cell research. My mother was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 98' and would love to see some advancement with it. I'm not 100% Pro-Obama but at least we have a president who is in favor of it, unlike Bush.
