Terrible news that he will not walk, but good news that he is still alive.

Hopefully he can remain strong with the love of his friends and family and return to being a scout for the cowboys. It will not be easy but all things are possible. He might not be able to walk, but he still has his mind and heart.

Best wishes to you and your family Sir.

BP pretty much summed up exactly what I was going to say. Godspeed to Mr. Behm.

Judging by the pictures posted here I think DMN has pictures of Rich trapped after the collapse:

http://www.***BANNED-URL***/sharedcontent/dws/pt/slideshows/2009/05/pho_050209collapse/

It is hard to tell for sure but it sure looks like his hairline and profile in pictures 11 and 12.

So Sad :(

Horrible news.

Best wishes to Rich and his family. It will certainly be quite the life adjustment.

I haven't seen any confirmed reports of a tornado or hear of any reports of conditions favorable to such an event. Nor have I seen the photo....do you have a link, or can you post it? Out of curiosity.

Of course I think this thing has been though 60mph winds...that doesn't mean that it would fail the first time high winds hit it either....

I wouldn't necessarily consider this a "freak incident" either. It is what it is....if it was hit by a strong cyclonic wind, then thats one thing, but if it wasn't, then thats an entirely different story.

The fact remains that this company has produced a building that has seen at least two catastrophic failures in recent years. That's a pretty bad track record, and the product should be looked at very thoroughly....even if it means being "overzealous".

If "it happens", then this company has nothing to worry about.

Picture 2 in that article is what they're referencing.

This is really terrible news. I know that Jerry Jones, being the man that he is, will step up and make sure that he is well taken care, getting the very best medical attention that money can buy and compensation for the tough years ahead.

The whole incident just makes me sick to my stomach.

I hope this team dedicates this season to Rich Behm. Here's hoping for a miracle.

My thoughts and prayers go out to him and his family. How tragic something like this is, makes football seem so tiny at this moment. Jerry has many faults, but one trait he has is unflinching loyalty, Behm will be taken care of. The somber look on Jerry's face says it all.

This is horrible news and I am saddened to hear Rich Behm is paralyzed. Being paralyzed since I was 15 I don't wish anyone to join this club, but life does go on. I have no doubt he will be able to continue on with his job as a scout for the Cowboys or move onto something else in the organization. The shock hasn't hit him yet and he is going to be overwhelmed, sad, frustrated, and go through every emotion you can think of, but he will get through this with flying colors. He has a tremendous support system with his family, team, coaches, staff, and owner.

He is a lower injury and he is young and I have no doubt Jerry Jones will see he gets the best rehab possible whether it is in Dallas or at Craig in Denver, etc. There is always hope. Doctors told my parents they didn't think I would live through the night and here I am 14 years later. My friend had a bullet go through her spine and five years later her legs are starting to move. Doctors give you a 6 month to 2 year window for function to come back, but doctors are NOT always right.

With stem cells getting approval and so many other therapies there is always a chance.

My thoughts and prayers go out to him and his family and all those that were injured and went through this.
