This weekend's mini-camp for rookies will be the first of five organized team activities for the Dallas Cowboys during the off-season.

The Cowboys will work out veterans and rookies together during three-day sessions on May 17-19, May 24-26 and June 1-3. The Cowboys will run two sessions consecutively, from June 8-13.

Training camp will open in late July, probably in San Antonio, with the first exhibition game on Aug. 8 against Cincinnati in the annual Hall of Fame game at Canton, Ohio. Former Cowboys running back Emmitt Smith will be one of seven players inducted on the previous day.

Will all the rookies remain in Dallas to participate in the offseason upcoming minicamps?

Heck getting to July is enough for me. At least at that time training camp will be in full swing and then you feel like it is getting close to football season.
