DMN Blog: Cowboys want to let Felix Jones loose in the Wildcat

maybe the wildcat is like the Packers Power sweep... Lombardi had a good run!

Interesting side note, to this day here in Wisconsin most highschool football teams are built on an I formation power sweep with one or even both guards pulling.

Why the Wildcat? If you are going to do something that radical, just pick up 3 option type QBs and run that instead. We would need a real bull at FB, though.

Agreed, I vote for a moratorium on the term "Wildcat".

Because teams started to figure it out later in the year. I would bet the majority of the big plays that trigger into the 7ypp average are when the Dolphins first started using the formation.

It's a gimmick, I dont like football being played that way. Let that stuff stay in college.

Before you know it, the "swinging gate" will be implemented by the Dolphins, work for 3/4 of the season, and everyone will want to draft players to fit that formation as well. LOL You might have to get a Special Team's genius to run that in the NFL.

Yep, Jerry Jones is watching those Adam Sandler movies for innovative Offenses.

:lmao2:at you for trying to relate the Bills and success.

How many other teams went to the SB 4 straight years?

That doesn't mean they weren't at least somewhat successful. Denying that they were successful in the offense they ran would be the real laughable position here.

This is actually something I finally agree with Jerry Jones on, it would be a fantastic idea.

I think somebody once said that about the forward pass.
