It took almost the entire day, but linebacker DeMarcus Ware registered a sack for the eighth straight game. Ware's sack came on a second-and-10 play with 1:44 remaining. He's now tied for third in Cowboys' history and only three sacks away from tying the all-time record set by Harvey Martin. He had 11 sacks in 11 consecutive games.

Ware said the Bengals' offensive line used slide protection most of the game. That meant Ware had to fight through multiple blockers. He still finished with five tackles and one quarterback pressure.

"It's hard to get pressure when they know who's coming," Ware said. "They just slide over."

Overall, Ware thought the defense played just OK.

"At the end of the day, when it's time to make plays, the defense is there," Ware said. "But I think the thing is we've got to make more plays at the beginning instead of the end. So there's not even a chance of them coming back or getting ahead of us or anything."

I agree, there O-Line just slid with the coverage, making it hard for D-Ware to get his pressure.

I'm just happy he got a sack!!!!

It looked like both bengals tackles did pretty well against Ware today. He needs to perfect a move and make people pay with it.

Ware and Ratliff are the best players on defense.

Dallas defense needs to play well all 4 quarters of games!

all the moves in the world dont do jack against 2 and 3 blockers.

Other guys have to step up, and the coaching staff has got to start getting creative to help him.

When he sees the film and how quickly Palmer got rid of the ball he's going to be a lot prouder.

I think today he stoned more often than I am used to seeing. Even our best players need to step it up a little more.

AJ has balled too tho....

he's been average so far IMO...he has broke up a couple of passes, but he's also given up a number of uncontested completions and been turned around a number of times..

I dont care so much about the dropped picks, although he had a total gift INT today and it cost us points after he dropped it

its not all his fault, as the pass rush isnt getting there and the coverages we are playing alot of are stupid IMO, but he is not looking like an elit or pro bowl calibar player today...maybe in 4-6 more weeks he will, but he still doesnt look as good here as he did his last season in Tennessee
