Personally, I could not care less who supposedly asked him to do it. He is the one responsible. Hopefully, the team will... teach him the error of his ways.

oh ok, i wonder if jerry jones knows that an employee of his asked eli to sign that post?

I doubt anyone with the Cowboys asked him to do it anyway. Sounds like an excuse to me.

Eli on JerryWorld autograph: 'Get over it'
December, 3, 2009
By Tim MacMahon

Eli Manning acknowledged that the autograph on the wall of the visiting locker room at Cowboys Stadium is authentic.

Dallas Cowboys linebacker Bradie James considers the signature a form of taunting, much like Giants running back Brandon Jacobs’ postgame dance on the star at midfield after New York’s 33-31 victory in the grand opening of the $1.2 billion stadium. The autograph was accompanied by the score of the game and “First win in the New Stadium.”

“We won’t forget that,” said James, a defenisve captain who ranted Wednesday about his dislike of the Giants. “It just makes for a more intense game.”

Manning confirmed Thursday that the signature was his, but he said he didn’t intend the autograph as a taunt. He said he just granted the request of a locker room attendant.

“Yeah, it's a pretty common thing,” Manning told reporters at the Giants’ practice facility. “I was asked to sign it, it wasn't like I just went there and signed it. I didn’t have a pen on me or anything. It was all supplied.”

Manning did not seem concerned when told that the Cowboys were using his autograph as motivational fodder.

"Yeah, I kind of heard a few things about it,'' Manning said. "I figure they'll eventually get over it."

Why would he make it up that someone asked him to do it?

It doesn't sound like something he would do on his own. I believe someone asked him to do it.

I was kind of hoping he did it but on his own volition. It would be nice to know he has that kind of an edge to him.

Why would someone from our organization ask him to tag our brand new visitors' locker room is a better question.

yea, it shows a real edge writing your name on a pillar and then having the team hang there jockstraps on the mirror.

But then again, your team has zero class from top to bottom, so from your point of view this would mean manning is now fitting in.

well maybe the person that was the locker room attendant wasnt a real dallas cowboys fan, he just works there and jerry jones doesnt realize that?
so what im asking, should we make jerry jones aware of that?

Yeah, why don't you get on the batphone and give ole Jerry a ring, let him know what's up.

Batphone is only for real Cowboys emergencies. Regarding Jason Garrett's playcalling and which former coaches we should bring in for pointers.

Actually, the Giants have a ton of class with everyone except the Cowboys. All these years I've hated the Eagles and their fans far more than the Cowboys. And I think between the fans, it has been Eagles/Giants and Cowboys/Commanders. But apparently, between the players, it is Giants/Cowboys first. I think the idea that the Commanders and Cowboys is the best rival in football is in the minds of the fans. It seems that Giants/Cowboys is a bigger rival.

Does anyone agree with me or am I reading too much into it?

It depends on proximity and age, I think.
I live in NJ, and I hate the Giants far more than Wash and Philly. I also wasn't around for the early day's of the two clubs fighting over songs and such.

It also depends on how good a team is. The 'skins aren't a threat to anybody.

No your right, its the giants/cowboys for the fans and the players.

I am curious, which opposing team and fanbase do you think would find pierce and jacobs classy?
