Butler coming in on a passing situations where Dallas has put him in before is something they evidently feel confident about. I have no issues with young guys playing but I do trust the coaches enough that decisions are made based on what they see from that player. Not just a wild guess or a hope and a prayer.

It was 3rd & 10 on Dallas 33 (I think 33)
Anyway, Chunks bails and V makes a nice play to get him for a 1 yard sack but, Sensi was coming across and would have met him around the 30. As elusive has Chunks is, Sensabaugh is a very sure tackler. I say they still would have got him but of course it could have ended short enough for them to go for yet another 4th down too.

You think they just may base thing on what they see during the week with these players? Novel concept used by most every coach out there. It is not pre-season or a time to guess with on a player. If a guy is showing the staff enough during the week and a clear understanding in meetings chances are that player will get some playing time

this would all be well and good if Butler wasn't doing anything

but in his limited playing time, he's proven to be one of our most productive, front 7 players

and they've been raving about his intelligence since Day 1

Imma tell yall this. If Victor Butler keeps making the most of his opportunities by getting sacks, after while he's going to get more playing time.

Ellis is a better pass-rusher than Spencer... But Overall Spencer is better in coverage and on the run.

Ellis was playing and getting sacks something I'm still waiting on with Spencer. Coaches and not just Wade, Parcells did the same thing of going with people he knew gave him the best chance to win. These are not pre-season game they can't afford to run guys out there and hope they understand their jobs they have to know it and the coaches see this through out the week. Dallas is not a team who is trying to rebuild we are a team expect to contend

He's playing well (spencer) but he doesn't make PLAYS like Butler: but I'm not naive to think Butler is better: that's nuts, but I' d like to see him get some more 3rd down pass rushing snaps: that's all......so would a lot of people...unforunately wade isn't one of em apparently..

I believe Butler is a better pass-rusher than spencer but overall I think Spencer is better than Butler right now.

even more reason to use all the weapons at your disposal...might be a good time to use a 3-LB set of Ware, Spencer and Butler?

hell, if Butler allows a single, horrible play to lose a game, then go back to using him very sparingly, but until then, get him on the field and after that QB, he's the 3rd leading sacker on the team (2 off to tie the lead) for cripes sake

Ogletree has come in on certain situations for us so young guys are getting some oppertunities to play but again much of this is based on what they are seeing through out the week. Coaches and Jerry were really impressed by what they saw during the week in Ogletree and guess what he got some snaps and this past week even more meaningful snaps. Yes you can sit there and say oh this guy should play you don't see what they do during the week you don't have one single clue about what Butler can handle or not they do. If they see Butler getting blown up vs the run in practice do you really think he is going to magiclly do it in a real game? Coaches tend to think alot about what takes place Monday through Friday. Butler coming in on passing situation I don't think they have too many concerns Butler coming on early downs evidently they see something to think differently than you. Unless you think all these practice and meetings is just a way to kill some time during the week

whatever...wade isnt going to tip his hand,,,jerry likes butler so we will see him...mark it down! what jerry wants jerry gets...and he likes activity ...butler has been active so he will get on the field
