I hate to see Emmitt taken off but it doesn't really bother me because I don't watch ESPN's pregame.

No one need worry abut Cris Carter being a blowhard.
He's been one forever.

Emmitt making up words mid sentence is just too hard to listen to.

Poor guy, he is terrible and he has to know it by now so he's only going to get worse from here on out.

LOL, ain't that the truth...

Tiffany Simons over at NBC Sports had this to say about him speaking at an Obama rally:

..[You should watch the rally] because [Emmitt] Smith actually does something that will impress you. He speaks clearly, avoids making up words and gets Dallas all riled up. (Well the end gets a little choppy but on an overall scale, he keeps it together)
I wonder if she knows some other Emmitt Smith who used to play for us that we don't?

it sucks....but what are you gonna do? I saw him the other day on a nothing segment about Romo and his offseason "activities" Emmitt was nervous, choppy and just.....not ready. He needs more seasoning IMO.

Some of my favorite Emmitt moments courtesy of WF:

Emmitt, after nearly saying a statement in the correct gramatic fashion, changes his mind and says it the wrong way:
"That offense does... do look good."

Emmitt refusing to use the word 'have':
"Giants has too many guys in the secondary banged up."

Emmitt putting his 'S' in the wrong place:
"I'm concerned about a guy who fall down before get hits."

Emmitt's outstanding roster name knowledge:
"Wes Worker is a possession receiver that make things happen."

Emmitt's commentary on Reggie Bush On a night where Bush didn't even play:
"Reggie Bush is definitely effective. Just not tonight."

Emmitt not knowing a conference from a division:
"The NFC West is probably one of the weakest... conferences... in the whole NFC."

Emmitt thinks the Patriots apparently lost the Superbowl twice in one day:
"The loss tonight... And the loss today is gonna hurt for a long time."

Emmitt on fantasy players who don't exist in real life:
"He was coming through line to make a move and got blind sided by Al Wi... Al Wi... Al Jackson."

Emmit profound knowledge on where leadership comes from:
"The leadership definitely have to come from the leaders."

Emmitt on winning a football game:
"The percentages for teams that go into score before the first half is pretty high that they wins the game."

Emmitt on why team personality is more important than team personnel:
"You have to have the personality to match up with the Patriots."

Emmitt doesn't realize that by having a division record, it's a given that you also own your team record:
"Not only does he have the NFC East record for touchdowns, but also the team record."

Emmitt thinks it's a quarterback's job to buy time for the OL:
"Tom Brady is buyin' time for his lineman."

Emmitt on being a confussed analyst but certainly not stopping to think your sentence through:
"He gets the ball over to their third read than most quarterback can."

Emmitt showing a little love to the NY Jets:
"The Jets can only be disrespected by every team in the league"

Emmitt with the proof that the Federal government needs to fund dyslexia research NOW:
"The way you perform make them feel about you different."

Emmitt on double portions of confidence:
"He's giving them all the confidences they need... he giving them the confidence that he need."

Emmitt on the crazy aura that floats over the great state of Texas:
"When he get over the Texas line, something crazy happens in his head."

Emmitt on why the English language is overrated:
"I think it's his self-confidence in himself that make him so confident when it get down into the crunch time."

Emmitt on the kick returner carrying the punt returner on his back:
"They both can return kicks and punt return guys."

Thank god, the dude cannot even talk!
I get so tired of people saying this. Emmitt can talk he just can't do it well on liveTV. I've heard/seen him several times on NFL Films, in press conferences, radio interviews and he sounds fine. Sometimes you get in front of a live camera and it's a deer in headlights. That's what happened to Emmitt.

Next up, the removal of Craphole Johnson from the show. I'm still unclear on how he got on there is the first place.

Really?

How about during the NFC Championship game when he said of the Giants:

"If they win today they possibly go on to the Super Bowl,"
That cracks me up every time I hear that statement go through my head. It's funny... even if you love Emmitt (which I do by the way).

I just have a hard time laughing at a man who helped rejuvenate a franchise. Also have a hard time laughing at someone who is not comfortable in front of a camera especially when most people on here probably counldn't do it themselves.

Don't worry... you'll get used to it. There's a whole line of people here in this forum who take their shots at him too.

On top of that, don't take it personally... we do it to everyone. You'd hate to be a 'Skins fan coming in here, because we really give them grief. No one is off limits to our 'cracks'.... Jerry, Emmitt, Troy, Tony, Pacman... everybody. This is an open-season forum, 24/7/365.

Woody should have gotten the job...

There is a lot of truth to that. Woody knows his stuff and presents it well.

I totally agree.

Darren Woodson does a terrific job.
He's actually one of the few former players that actually does a decent job being an analyst.
