Reggie is ahead in both speed, wiggle and receiving skills. This is wishful thinking.

The only thing Reggie lacks is the ability to run the ball inside, if he ever figures that out, he'll be the next Marshall Faulk, not the next Brian Westbrook.

Felix does not have the same wiggle, he's not a dancer like Reggie either, which might be a good thing but to compare a rook like Felix to Reggie is silly at this point.

We scold other teams and reporters that do it, don't cut this guy slack cause he's talking about a Cowboy.

the comparison should be how each are used

Again, I agree. Using dissimilar backs in a similar fashion is closer to the truth.

both are better in space, than they are if utilized as inside runners

so in that sense...

and why do you think that is?
It's not just the screen. In 2006, Dallas was dead last in number of times a RB was targeted with a pass. I haven't worked out the numbers for 2007, but obviously there wasn't a huge increase, even with the new OC.

Some of it is definitely playcalling, some of it is definitely Romo. Maybe a part of it is having All-Pro's at WR and TE?

I don't think it was just a personnel issue, but we'll see soon enough with Felix.

You see lots of times where Felix in college got caught from behind. I can't ever say I've seen Reggie in college get caught from behind. That guy can flat out fly.

SEC defenses are a lot faster than Pac 10 ones.

Scold other reporters that do what?

I agree that Bush is faster, and has more wiggle. And agree they are just talking about being used similarly. I think and surely hope that Jones is a better player than Bush though. He's stunk as a runner and he catches a lot of passes but many are useless and not for much yardage. Any player in the league could catch 80 or whatever dumpoff passes and then not make anything out of it.

Vela wrote a good article about how Dallas will use Felix Jones.

Felix Jones is a deadly jump cut runner. He was very underrated in this draft, and he was a steal at number 22. He can run inside and make people miss. Now, there is a myth. "Felix Jones can't run inside".

Felix can be a 20 carry guy for sure one day. He is only 20 years old and has room for a little more weight. Jones is a gamebreaker. I saw many of his games. When you played Arkansas, you were playing both tailbacks, not just McFadden.

I hope Phillips doesn't run Barber into the ground like he was run in the playoff game. Barber looked gassed in the second half of that game, and the stats show it. The offensive line wore down, too. In my opinion, Barber will wear down by December if he gets 20-25 carries per game.

Stick to the formula. Pass first, get the lead, and crush them with Barber and the o-line late in the game. Let "the closer" be the closer.

Thanks for that snip.

That reminds me, I like that idea better than Wade's "Barber's our 100-yard back" remark.

Agreed.

As far as being an athlete is concerned there arent many ahead of Reggie Bush.

People talk a lot of crap about Bush but he isn't as nearly as big of a bust as some would have you believe.

Plus I dont know how any Cowboy fan could dog him after the whooping he put on us a couple years ago.
