Reggie bush was over rated coming in and still is. sure he has made a few flashy plays- but not all that many. As a straight rusher he has been a disapointment.
Frankly I would hope that Felix does better.

Hes not a "straight rusher" though.

I dont see why you guys dont get that.

Ive said this a million times. Reggie Bush is a swiss army knife. He is a man of many crafts.

If he ever does learn to be a inbetween the tackles back, which he probably will, then he is going to be one bad mofo.

every1 knew bush wasn't a straight runner. His receiving ability is amazing and he has lived up to it IMO so i don't see how he is a bust in any way shape or form. I'm pretty sure every1 knew that reggie bush wasn't goin to dance the through the holes like he did in College,

You think he's lived up the the hype? He was way overated, good player? Sure top ten in the draft? Hasn't shown it yet.

we don't run them.

Why do something you suck at? If you can't run the play throw it out.

I'd kill to see a successful screen play in Dallas.

Clearly the Cowboys will try to use Felix as the Saints used Bush a few years ago.

Reggie Bush is the better athlete, but it is possible that Felix Jones is the better football player. Instincts, vision, and heart go a long way in this game. Time will tell.

Though I'd have preferred not take any running back at 22, it's certainly a persuasive reason to have taken Jones over Mendenhall.

Eh...I'd say similar speed, dissimilar wiggle.

Reggie Bush would smoke Felix and then smoke your crack pipe....

Hows that?

He had a really good rookie year and got hurt in his 2nd year.

I don't think Reggie has been a bust so far.

It's nice in theory, but Felix is going to have to do a lot of things he's never been asked to do before, like running wheel routes down the field, catching the ball over his shoulder, etc.

there's no reason to believe he can't do those things. He was definitely not the limiting factor there. Arkansas passed less than a 80 year old Chinese lady in a hybrid.

You see lots of times where Felix in college got caught from behind. I can't ever say I've seen Reggie in college get caught from behind. That guy can flat out fly.

You're joking right? Felix Jones has sprinter's speed, and I've only seen a FEW times where he's been caught from behind....

He ran a 4.47, let's not get crazy. He's got great acceleration and above average top end.

Yeah um, I am a huge SEC fan and have seen many Arkansas games. While Felix is fast, he isn't blazing saddles fast. He does have great acceleration though, but he can be caught after he reaches his top end speed. The best thing about Felix is that he is patient and will explode through the slightest hole.

In that aspect, he will succeed where Julius often failed. Julius was not patient enough to let the hole develop and often accelerated right into his own blockers and didn't have the tight-space wiggle to get through small holes. Felix can spot the smallest hole and get through. The good thing about Jones' acceleration is that he eats up chunks of yardage when he explodes through the holes. The average 3-4 yard gains are normally 7-10 yard gains for Felix.

But don't be fooled; he will be caught at times or run out of bounds after he gets in space. He doesn't have the speed to beat good angles like Chris Johnson or McFadden does.
