Is Brace really that good, or is he one of those guys people think will be good because they see the height and weight in the program and think "There's a 34 nosetackle"?

How is his tenacity, stamina, and mental toughness?

i haven't seen a whole lot of his games since moving to the west coast but when raji was out, that defense didn't miss a beat with him taking over the middle. he played well for most of the action i've caught. more legit prospect than a numbers prospect IMO.

Was ticked at that 8.1 win prediction. Just because it was closer than anyother doesn't mean it was right. It still came off as a haters prediction.

Either way, I liked and agreed with most of the article. Schottenhiemer might be the right move, I always liked him outside of the inconvienent fact that his playoff success is similar to Wade.

Although I agree that their prediction wasn't anything "genius" and some of it was just getting lucky...

how is a statistical projection a "haters" prediction? They didn't like the Cowboys to be a playoff team this season. That doesnt' mean they hate them.

He's wrong on 2 things and right on 1. Here's why:

1) Shottenheimer is a good regular season coach but is horrible in the playoffs. Period! He certainly doesn't have a better resume than Shanny. In the last decade out of coaches that are able to coach a team whether on a staff or not currenty SHanny's credentials are only trumped by Mr. Belichick. That includes Tony Dungy who has better credentials than Mr. Cowher who is after Dungy and Jon Gruden. Don Shua is in the mix and Dan Reeves but cmon, Jimmy Johnson has a better shot coming out.

2) Free Agency we are not considered to be al over it. we hear that every year and we already have about $10 million in capspace without the releases or non signing of players like Roy Williams, Anthony Henry Zach thomas, Chris Canty, Kevin Burnett, Tank Johnson, Terrel Owens etc. etc. Now I'm not saying we let these guys go and T.O I don't want to be let go but there is alot of guys that won't be back and that figures in as well. We will have cap space to go after a stud and re-sign Demarcus Ware.

3) The draft does need to be for depth but we can get a pretty good safety with our picks which we should focus on. A NT is a good consideration as well but a dead on propsect with that type of size won't be lying around at our 2nd round pick. Free agency will have a player or two to go after and won't be anywhere as dry as everyone thinks because we're going to have a cap free season the year after most likely. There will be an ILB or two other than Ray Lewis who will be out there. Unless Arizona is willing to pay Karlos Dansy, because he was franchised last year a player like that could very well be out.

4) He's right about Jerry being able to shave some money to pay a new coach somewhere else throughout the operation if necessary but Shotty is not the guy to do it for. Shanny is.

That's all that needs to be said.
