Unfortunately, it doesn't seem like anything close to what Osi Umenyiora said in November came out of the Giants locker room this afternoon. Here's a sampling of what the Giants had to say about playing the Cowboys for a third time.

Even "Big Mouth" is tight-lipped on this one! Thanks to Brad Townsend in Tampa for passing all this along.

RB Brandon Jacobs: “You know (the win) says a lot about us. We have great character in here. Guys in here have a lot of heart. We do know one thing, when we go play against a team like the Dallas Cowboys we’ve got to bring it. Because it’s a good football team and they’re well coached.”

QB Eli Manning: “We have been in the playoffs the last three seasons and I haven’t played particularly well in the two games before, and just to come in here and play well, give our team a chance to win the game and make some big plays, that was quite a situation to be in. But now you can’t be just satisfied with what you’re doing. It’s about the bigger picture and keeping this thing going.”

DE Michael Strahan: “I think as a team we seem to perform better on the road. I didn’t know we won eight in a row. That’s a great thing because when it’s playoffs, if we’re going to go as far as we want, we have to win every game on the road. I don’t think it bothers anyone to play in Dallas. I think some of us are looking forward to it. I’m looking forward to it because my family is in Texas, so I have an opportunity to let them watch the game. Hopefully the third time is the charm for us and we can win.”

WR Amani Toomer: “I feel pretty strong. I feel pretty good, you know, we know them, they know us and it’s going to be a big game.”

Man ... "It's going to be a good game"? "Hopefully the third time is the charm"? Don't these guys know Timmy Tabloid's got a job to do?

They should be. They're about to lose for the third time to the same team.

The Giants hopefully learned a lesson from Ronde Barber and won't give the Cowboys any bulletin board material.

Too late suckaz! They don't need to say anything this week.

Our guys already despise them for what they've said in the past.

The Cowboys need to button it up as well. The winner will be decided on the field, not in the media and on the internet.

When a team loses twice in a season to another team, there is a reason for that, which is because other team simply is a better team. It would be very stupid for them to mouth off, but then I wouldn't be surprised if they do since I think some of them are idiots.

Since Shockey went down, Toomer has been coming up huge as the possession receiver.

They already spouted off. After we beat them didn't Strahan say Romo was "lucky" and TO was "overdone"

"I don't think it bothers anyone to play in Dallas".

Micheal Strahan

Would you want a player from Dallas saying this if they were about to play in Green Bay? Do you think the Packers would be insulted and put it up on the bulletin board before they defended their home turf?

You can think it, but do you have to say it. It is disrespectful.

However, we know the Giants do not respect us or our "Golden Child" quarterback.

This is the Divisional Playoffs, and talk is cheap. Dallas' players already have enough quotes off the field and actions and talk on the field to last the rest of their careers.

How about Sam Madison kicking T.O. in the head after a play on the sideline during last game?

I hope T.O. is ready to go, because if he is, Dallas will destroy them.

I guess the 45 Romo hung on them didn't "bother" them.

This sounds like a team that's been instructed to keep their mouths shut. I bet we don't hear anything from them this week unless Jacobs slips up. We'll have to dig up old quotes from the last two meetings and whichever of their linebackers that said after the second double-digit loss that they were the better team.
