DMN: Blog: Glenn incensed by Landry shot

I'm the first to say that Landry got in some very questionable shots in so far in his rookie season and I'm not too happy about it. The play on Glenn however was in no way shape or form a dirty hit.

He went for the ball that was sailing and clipped Glenn in the process. 100% unintentional.

It obviously wasn't a cheap shot, but there's nothing wrong with the players thinking it was.:D

That wasn't even close to a cheap play. Landry was running from mid-field to try and get the INT. Romo lofted the ball very high and gave Landry a chance to get there. It would've sucked if Glenn got hurt, but it wasn't dirty.

Well this is what TG thinks....

A couple of Cowboys suggested Glenn was the victim of a cheap shot by a member of the Commanders. "I think they were trying to hurt me," Glenn said.

He should be more upset at himself for not going stronger after that slant pass that got picked off.

he dove a while before the contact, so i doubt it was dirty. TG was barely even used, comon. it would just seem pretty to try to hit him low purposefully

I didn't think he was intentionally trying to hurt Glenn. Thankful TG seems to be OK.

I don't think so either. At first it looked a little unnecessary, but after the replay it looked like momentum got the best of landry and was just unavoidable.

Lets not reach here.

After watching Landry this year there's no doubt in my mind he's a dirty player.

But that particular hit was clean. Landry may not have gone out of his way to avoid Glenn, but his intention wasn't to hit him.

Egg I haven't seen you for a very long time. Where you been?

Season's Greetings Joe~ I've been lurking in the weeds, posting here and there but mostly reading and enjoying our most excellent season. It feels good to have the team contending again! :)

I find this odd, considering the ball was high and Landry was low.
The ball wasn't thrown at Glenn's knees.

That was definately a cheap shot, The ball was already incomplete and LL can sliding in there after the ball hit the ground and TG was running after. Very dirty, typical Commanders i guess.

Well they should have sent the third stringers out and broken Portis or Moss's legs when they had the chance. The whole game was a wheels off mess. If you are going to not try to win at least try to maim.

I'm not sure which play this was. Can one of you post the youtube link please?

Stay classy Dallas.

Again, the ball bounced between Landry's hands as he was diving for the ball.

He almost made the pick.

He was going for the ball. I don't think it was intentional at all.

so much for those who thought it was cheap, being homers

Landry's a dirty, little ****

because glenn thinks so doesn't make it so. i still don't think laron was trying to hurt glenn.

On the play where Springs makes the interception of the pass to Glenn, watch what happens to Glenn. Landry come from behind Glenn and clobbers him in the back it was a cheap shot and should have drawn a penalty.

I didn't think Landry's shot to the knees was intentional but I have to say after seeing what he did on the interception it makes me wonder if what Glenn is saying doesn't have some truth in it.
