Wade Phillips didn't feel like answering questions about using Tony Curtis as a fullback, so he cracked that the Cowboys might sign "a fullback or three" Saturday.

Phillips didn't seem too intrigued by my idea of putting Leonard "Bigg" Davis at fullback, which he played at Class A Wortham High. Hey, Kyle Kosier looks ready to go and Cory Procter filled in well at guard, so why not? Just imagine how A.J. Hawk would feel when a 6-6, 353-pound dude gets the ball on a fullback dive.


Phillips did drop a hint that the lack of a fullback might create an opportunity to get Felix Jones on the field more often.


"We might put Marion Barber at fullback and maybe somebody else at tailback," he said. "You never know."

As long as they aren't expecting any 50+-yard runs out of me I can still block well and can move when I have to. At 6'3" 275 I've got the body mass to get it done. I also still have a very good arm if they want to call an option pass.

exactly. MB3 takes enough punishment as a rb let alone a freaking fullback. but i guess once or twice won't hurt if they turn into a 50 yard td run or something.
