Ya know, I kind am worried about wade wilson also.

My first thought when he was hired was why?

When he was here before our qb play was the worst in the league in carter, hutchinson and the rest of the crew that gave it a shot.

Then in chicago the qbs stunk every year he was there.

Now he is here. I hope he doesnt jinx us.

familiarity, we needed a QB coach, Jerry and Garrett were familiar w/ him

btw, Grossman's biggest struggle, see Arizona game for effect, was forcing balls down the field to guys who were covered, you don't need a coach to tell you to look for dump-off options and work the middle of the field

I have really no idea how good Wade Wilson is as a QB coach, but Rex Grossman always has an excuse for his sorry play. I guess Pep Hamilton didn't work hard enough with him this training camp after he was stripped, then threw a horrible pick, and then botched another snap. But hey, after *ONE* throw Ron Jaworski was practically claiming him to be a superstar, so what do I know.

Did ya see Grossman the other night? Three turnovers in three posessions. I suppose his ankle tape guys at fault for that.

SORRY FOR REPOST.........Grossman whines about Wilson

The Cowboys haven't cornered the market on blaming a departed coach for past failures. Turnover-prone Bears QB Rex Grossman pointed the finger at Wade Wilson, who is now working with Tony Romo in Valley Ranch.

Grossman raved about new Bears QB coach Pep Hamilton to the Sporting News while working in a shot at Wilson.

"He's come in and specifically worked on the things I didn't do so well last year," Grossman, 27, says of the 32-year-old Hamilton, who coached with the 49ers in 2006. "Stepping up in the pocket, making sure I have two hands on the ball, going through my reads and staying balanced at the top of my drop.

"To not have to do that on your own or try to make someone help you with something is just unbelievable."

Fortunately for Grossman, plenty of folks are willing to help him these days. The Chicago Sun-Times tracked down a bunch of fifth graders who offered him pointers on the difficult task of taking snaps.

Coaches may have changed but Grossman still turns over the ball as I witnessed this last monday night. 2 fumbles and an interception...in the first half against the colts.

Grossman realizes his career as a starter in this league is fixing to end ..... he is gonna try to make excuses and stall it as long as possible.

Bad for the Colts is that Drew Brees WON'T pull this stunt in wk 1.

Otherwise, the Bears were chunking up yardage up and down the field-too bad Rex is going to bring this team WAY down, 'cuz this IS a very good team all around.

Quit yer bellyaching. Wilson could not do anything about Jerra's man crushes on Quincy or Hutch. Then he was stuck with Grossman. Wade was not mishandling the ball nor throwing picks in Chicago. It was little Rex.
With Romo he has a capable QB with a good arm and instincts.
So quit worrying. Sit down you'll feel better.

Outside of Rex, Chicago didn't have other good QBs either.

Heck-the last time they DID have a decent QB, Wade was PLAYING.

We joke around about Romo wearing his hat backwards but...

Romo does play sloppy. His helmet isn't buckled. His shirt isn't tucked in. He doesn't secure the ball all the time. When he runs he holds the ball awkwardly. Its a nightmare waiting to happen (again).

That being said, Rex is playing horribly and hes complaining because he is making stupid mistakes that he shouldn't be making.

Having a helmet buckled is a safety issue and his helmet stays on as he buckles it during games. The shirt thing is just dumb. A tucked in shirt is requiste for QB play? His ball security has supposedly improved when hes scrambled so far hes had two hands on the ball as he leaves the pocket.

Does anybody really think the Bears are going to win a title with this bafoon at QB?

He needs to be reminded to keep both hands on the ball and go through his reads? Isnt this taught in freaking Jr. High?

Amazing a 5th yr QB has to be reminded about fundementals. :laugh1:

+1 for the use of bafoon (buffoon)

-10 for spelling issues. ;)

Sorry.......I love that word. I simply cannot have it mis-handled. :)
