While standing in his soon-to-be-completed, billion-plus-dollar football palace yesterday, Jerry Jones was asked whether he had considered Cowboys Stadium as a site for future training camps.
Jerry didn't think he could squeeze a training camp into the stadium's busy schedule.
"More than likely, we'll have too many events to work that in," he said. "It's hard to do if you're pretty booked up, especially if you're booked up a long time in advance. We more than likely wouldn't."
Jerry didn't mention the marketing opportunities the Cowboys cash in on by holding training camp in San Antonio and/or Oxnard, Calif. San Antonio and Southern California both have big Cowboys' fan bases, and holding training camps in those locales allows the Cowboys to reach fans that won't make it to Arlington.
