DMN: Blog: Hurd makes his push

Somebody's going to seperate themselves, or else the FO will definitely bring someone else in. It may already be in the works for all we know.

I have a lot more faith in Hurd than I have in Austin.

I do too. He has the better receiving skills, the only thing he lacks is the speed. I am not sure he can't get faster. TO was not considered fast coming out of college but there is no problem with his speed now.

Be a shame if neither of them step up and their downfall is due to one lacking skillset -- Austin (poor hands) but has speed, and Hurd (no speed) but good hands. Irony takes a bow.

I have a great deal of faith in Hurd being able to turn into a very productive reciever for us. He's a mere 23 years of age and showed some improvement last season. I expect he'll improve some more this year. I'm hoping he is able to have a really productive season for us.
