SS/core special teamer Pat Watkins (stinger) participated fully in every practice this week, but he has been ruled out of Sunday's game against the Rams.

RB Felix Jones (hamstring), OG Kyle Kosier (foot), CB Terence Newman (abdomen) and OLB Anthony Spencer (hamstring) are also out. LB Kevin Burnett (calf) and QB Tony Romo (pinkie finger) are questionable. SS Keith Davis (thumb), SS Roy Williams (forearm) and NT Tank Johnson (ankle) are probable.

Listed as out for the Rams: WR Drew Bennett, CB Tye Hill and RB Antonio Pittman. OT Orlando Pace (thigh) is questionable.

Actually, I love the whole draft so I like all of the different college prospects. In regards to Stanback, I think this kid is special and will be a impact player for us in 2 or 3 years. I know that will draw the wrath of many on this forum but I'll stand by my prediction.

Watkins isn't a big deal on defense with Roy back, but now we're down two of our best special teamers with he and Burnett out.

And with a new punter.

Hope Carlos Polk can add something, if that's possible playing for the first time in months.

No, 2 more will be inactive. 45 active game day + the 3rd QB which doesn't count against the active list.

Watkins is slowly making his way off the team. Patience with him is growing thin. I don't think Watkins will be a Cowboy for very much longer. Definitely his last year here.

Have you noticed how many times we have to repeat draft picks every three or four years at certain positions because they just don't turn out?

That's why I was more than happy to give up a first and a third for a pro-bowl talented WR like Roy 11.

Watkins was a 4th rounder, NOT a top 5 pick overall.

With that being said-he's been a very, very good nickel/dime guy in our scheme, especially in coverage. Will he ever be a starter? No-but like I said, he's blended in very well with our scheme. And he's a very good ST player to boot.
