This is why I said we needed a CB not a WR, it was clear as day even before PACman got hurt! We stink back there! Stink!

I have no idea how we're gonna cover this week or next.

I'd like to know which shutdown corner was on the market.

Relax guys. Scandrick and Jenkins are better than you think. They will be fine this weekend -- if the coaches will simply let them play. I mean not ten yards back, or make them think too much about everything....just let them get out there and play like they have done in the past.

I predict one of them gets an interception this weekend.

I noticed Wade has a few time kinda talked down Jenkins, and up on Scandrick.Jenkins needs time but he is not gonna get it so here we go.Im nervous too we are gonna get exposed big time I think next few weeks.Hopefully pass rush comes thru but really havent yet this year too much. These guys have to play zone or they will get beat bad.I smell toast.

Fighting with bodyguards must be hard on a person...or did something else happen since Tuesday. I wish they would just cut ties with this guy...too much risk for too little reward.

Spend our coaches time on Jenkins and Scandrick.

I think Jenkins will do just fine in the starting role and I think he'll more than prove a few people wrong.

They've got a job this week both up front and back there. That's for sure. The Rams are going to start one of their first day draft picks and the other is going to play. I have no idea how good they are but Holt is going to make them look better unless he's on fire.

I sure wish they would have lost last weeks game and still be down. Thankfully Bulger is a little injured and pretty gun shy. I have no idea how good their OL is.

I'm afraid some think this is going to be a cake walk due to their record but they played the Skins better than we did. Unless we can get up on them early then I think this can be a competitive game.

Is Burnett going to play?

I was actually hoping that they win last week (which they did) so that they wouldn't be as desperate for that one win against us and we all know how desperate teams are.

The coaches have said that Scandrick is very good in the zone, but needs to work more on 1x1 coverage. While Jenkins is good 1x1, but needs work in the zone. Both good players that will contribute for many years to come.

I think Scandrick may see more action this week due to zone look.

Phillips doesn't like to start rookies. He didn't even start Shawn Merriman.

Aaron Ross came on last year for the Giants.

Why can't Jenkins and Scandrick. They have a ton of talent.

I could be wrong here, but I thought I remembered that he was talking about different styles of man coverage (press vs. off), rather than man vs. zone. Or maybe he has said both things. But either way, your point is still valid, that they will be good players and that they both already have some strengths.

Wade Phillips didn't exactly express a ton of confidence when asked that question about first-round pick Mike Jenkins

"We're gonna find out," Phillips answered. "He's been playing obviously. Would I want him to start this game over Newman or somebody else? No."

They came to the conclusion that Wade has little confidence in Jenkins because he wouldn't start Jenkins over Newman? There are very few corners in the league who is as good as Newman. Would that mean there is little confidence in every other corner in the league? The only problem I had with what Wade said was the part of "Or somebody else." I would hope it wouldn't be Reeves.

ALL of the corners better be ready, including Ball, b/c the Rams play a ton of 3 WR sets.

Wade is nervous w/Jenkins b/c he is a rook, but also b/c he is trying to fit a square peg in a round hole. Let Jenkins be physical and press the WR on the LOS and he will be fine (it doesn't have to be BnR). Scandrick obviously looks better in this scheme b/c he was always a zone corner, even as physical as he has been.

He has had some good pass break-ups, I Think he plays better close to line so he can be physical not 5 yards off, that is how theyused him in college

He'll do ok unless Wade and Stewart have him playing 10 yds off the WR every down. Give him a chance.

I'm afraid we are going to see alot of Zone on Sun.
