You are certainly a regular apologist for our pothole fill promising- Dallas Observer- columnist excuse for a mayor.
She is notably anti-sports and anti-business in both her column writing career and her flawed tenure as mayor. Blaming the county commissioners for the move of the Cowboys is true only to the extend that they were the last men standing after a lack of leadership from the mayor and her inability to deal with a hopelessly self-dealing 14 member city council left the Cowboys preferred Industrial Blvd. site in the dust and a half-baked Fair Park plan was the only Dallas area competing(?) for the Cowboys venue.
Her honor, as a columnist, was an agressive opponent of the brilliant development of the American Airline Center, Victory Plaza and W hotel complex. She wanted to make sure no millionaires made money working with the city.
The Cowboys got a better deal by far in Arlington with a mayor and city council that care about their city, and Dallas got a 130 million dollar architecturally stunning bridge to a slum over the Trinity Basin.
I'm sure Madame No is shocked there's no move to rename it the Laura Miller bridge.
