DMN Blog: Jimmy Johnson at Cowboys practice/Roy Williams' response to LaRon Landry

I have to say in Roy's defense, it would help if just every once in awhile the ball hit him in the chest. I don't think I've ever seen a particular receiver get more balls thrown to him all over the place so consistently. High, low, behind him, way ahead of him. And what is uncanny about it, is that Tony may miss a few throws to all the receivers, but not nearly as much as he does to Roy.

Definitely still a work in progress, but it had looked a lot better the past couple of weeks before Sunday's game, which could have been a product of Romo's injury.

That was good, Roy.

You could have said:

"Look chump, I saw Brandon Jacobs truck you on national television.

Then, I saw you shy away from tackling him in another game with the Giants.

BEEP! BEEP!

Legitimate receivers make those catches. Roy used to make those catches. You think Joey Harrington or Kitna have pinpoint accuracy?

The guy has just fallen off.

that was great by Roy

btw, we got a lot of former Cowboys at Valley Ranch, I know posters like Bach and Chief were crying about a lack of them because of Jerry's history

I liked how he handled the Landry comments but I'm tired of his excuse making for his lack of consistent play in the passing game. Those were tough catches, everyone knows that, but thats what he's paid all that money to do, make those tough catches.

I think you are right. I'm not saying he shouldn't catch some of those. But you gotta admit, there aren't too many where he is hit in stride.

Roy Williams has been a class act to me, the kind of heat the guy is taking is unbelievable...

He's certainly tried to be....I don't think he's cut out for this type of pressure.

Yes, imagine taking all that money to do a job a rookie could do and probably with fewer excuses. Poor Roy.

I'm going to continue to play my game and move on, got a win under my belt and I'm smiling."

Could you please try to play football instead of your game. Because so far it ain't working.

So was he running his routes differently as Landry suggested?

"I'm running across the middle, stretching out, trying my best to catch the football," Williams said, "so if that's scared, let me know."

That's your best??? We are in trouble.

Considering the Commanders lost, were the comments inappropriate?

"Not at all," Williams said. "When you've won two or three games that's what happens. It's just frustration with himself, with the team and the way things have been going. You envy others on winning ballclubs doing the things they're supposed to do. I'm just going to continue my job. God bless the young man, him and his family and his football team."

He should have started and stopped with this statement.

Clearly, this has been the downfall of the team.

Lack of former Cowboys.

If we had more show up = championship. Fact.

Stupid Jerry.

:laugh2: :laugh2: I love it. Landry is really struggling this year and is looking to try and regain his edge. Result: Fail
