Keith Davis is expected to re-sign with the Cowboys today, but the deal apparently isn't done yet. He isn't participating in today's practice.

I'm sure they'll get something worked out, unless Davis is hoping for something better to come along.

No sign of Keith Davis

The Cowboys safety and special teams ace Keith Davis is not yet with the team, but is expected to sign anytime soon.

Davis agreed to terms with the Cowboys on Saturday. The Cowboys will have to release one player to make room for Davis on the 53-man roster and tackle James Marten and cornerback Alan Ball were both practicing Monday. They could be candidates to be released to make room for Davis.

not a big deal, the special teams is relatively the same, I doubt that he has to learn anything new

That's true. It could be that Jerry is still trying to work some kind of last minute trade involving Ball (or someone) instead of just cutting them to make room for Davis.

Could be they are waiting until next week to avoid the vet salary thing.

That's a good point and a possibility. I personally don't see them waiting another whole week though. If he hasn't signed by Tues/Weds then you could be on to something.

good I hope the deal doesn't go through at all.
Once he signs, he becomes the best Special Teams player on the team.
