On Monday the Cowboys paid right tackle Marc Colombo $2 million as part of the $8.1 million option bonus he received after signing an extension with the Cowboys late in the 2008 season.

Some of you wondered if Colombo could be a possible player cut this off-season, but this move shows me he is safe for 2010. He is scheduled to make a $2.14 million base salary this year.

While Colombo struggled against Ray Edwards in the playoff loss at Minnesota, he remains part of the Cowboys' core because of his commitment, attitude and leadership.

I cannot same with the same conviction that left tackle Flozell Adams will be back in 2010. He is due a $2.5 million roster bonus in June and has a $5 million base salary. Less than 24 hours until the new league year, there is nothing new to report on Adams.

If it wasn't for his injury, I think Marc would have handled Edwards just fine. I blame the coaches for not realizing he wasnt ready.

This. He's never looked that horrible when healthy. Not once can I remember him being a liability like he was that game. And he's faced better pass rushers than Edwards.

This is news? I didn't realise that there was anyone out there who honestly had brought up, or thought, that Marc wouldn't be back.

Make sense to me before you get rid of a starting OL you better have someone to take over and or good depth.

of course there are, there are plenty of goofball fans around that think we need to go out and sign an entire new o line of first round draft picks and former pro bowlers.

Yeah, I wouldn't think Colombo would be cut. He doesn't have much longer left on his deal and isn't cost-prohibitive.

so Jerry wants everybody to be nervous yet almost everybody will be back except for a kicker.
