#1 should be glad there was a defender between him and MartyB. Otherwise he would have been tea bagged. :lmao2:

Not trying to be one of those guys but by mid summer I usually can get the rim with the same level that his forearm is at. But I have to take about 8 steps before jumping and I'm not trying to time a block shot

But then again, I'm only 6'1

It looks like it could be a bit of an optical illusion. The shooter appears to be near the elbow or even just inside the 3-point line. If Bennett was near the free-throw line or in the middle of the key when he jumped, the camera angle would make it look like he's well above the rim. He obviously has a good vertical, but I think it's exaggerated in the photo.

Ill need a stat to back this up.

Whats the percentage of pictures that actually form this optical illusion and does it effect the cap?

Ummm his elbow is at the rim..there's no optical illusion there. Martellus is probably 8"10 with his arms straight up..looks like he's at least 2 feet off the ground..the rim is 10 feet. Do the math.

The defender's feet are in the paint, and well behind the free throw line. So the shooter is not anywhere near the 3 point line.
