No player has had more fun this week than Miles Austin.
On Wednesday he sprinted over to sign some autographs for some St. Thomas Aquinas High School students that were chanting his name. On Thursday he had a spirited table tennis game with Yvette Sherman, the wife of Ray Sherman, the Cowboys wide receivers coach. He won, by the way, in overtime.
And he has not taken the smile off his face. But that's normally the case for him. Yet as much as he's enjoyed the week, he's already thinking about next year.
"When you're playing and things are going on in your life you don't really sit back and look at things," Austin said. "It' kind of like you're on to the next thing and you try not to make too much out of it. I don't mean to quote a Jay-Z line, but he's got a rap that says, 'I'm on to the next one.' That's it. Boom, this is here, then it'll be working out for the season, then training camp and then the season."
