Cowboys Day 2 Practice w/Pads

Other observation about Barham, the play at 1:30 I think is the concern about him. He doesn't see anything and doesn't move lol.

I know we don't know his keys/reads in this call, but he bites the fake, then points out a coverage on a handoff? Not sure what he's looking at. He's a terrific downhill run-and-hit player, but what he does in space is what's going to make him stand out or not.
He is a rookie, this is what TC is for. To learn what to do in these those situations.
Can't wait to seem and others in a PS game.

James had a couple nice pressures in that vid.
No C had shared that on one play Dak was down field shielding Downs. Saw Dak in this video 3 or 4 times downfield on run downs. Good to see.

I agree this was one of best vids coming out of camp so far

Cobie Durant is a dude. I think folks were thinking he was just an afterthought free agent pick up, but he’s an additive piece to this secondary.
He's the best CB on the team today. His versatility will prove to be extremely valuable this season.

Obviously ideally Revel continues to improve and lives up to his draft profile, but we'll see.

Few tidbits from the video:

  • Barham with great 1v1 coverage in open space for the PBU on the first play of the video.
  • I’ve never seen a player go through more numbers on one team than Malik Davis. He’s worn 34, 21, 43, 23, and now 20.
  • Cobie Durant is a dude. I think folks were thinking he was just an afterthought free agent pick up, but he’s an additive piece to this secondary.
  • LB Logan Patterson (#47) just doesn’t look like he has the requisite athleticism to play at this level.

The Durant news / development is really encouraging. Maybe just maybe CP knows how to shop for groceries

I think there will be some really good competition for WR #5.
Will it be so good they keep 6 WR's. Maybe not, as they would need to go short somewhere else for a player that most likely is inactive every week.

In no order for WR #5
Mingo, Holden, A. Smith
Scantling, Mims (if either really has anything left)
J. Smith, Hudson (I seen a few fans high on him), Brown (seems to be doing well in camp)
one of the few times, the boys actually do have an embarassment of riches

If Barham can cover it changes the entire landscape of the LB depth chart.

I don't really think that first clip means much because the challenge is more about whether he can get depth and play in space, but it's a positive sign at least.
folks folks, lou brown posted something slightly optimistic. PAY ATTENTION

He is brand new. Maybe give him a bit of rope.

Agreed. That was my only real concern with him.
