The word for today is.......

WATCH the waiver wire.

I like Austin Collie, Mike Furrey, but there will be faster players out there who I'd go for....just saying I like these two.

Stinks that Hodge isn't able to go. Hope that calf thing isn't something serious.

And Igor's back concerns me a little, just because back problems are notoriously hard to diagnose and always seem to pop up sporadically. Hopefully it's some kind of muscle pull or something and nothing structural.

At least Hatcher is back, though.

Yeah, a rookie missing all this time just about kills his shot at making a big impact on defense unless there are a number of injuries.

How many more times do we need to see hurd on the injury report before we decide to move on. what's the matter with giving one of these veteran WR's who are still umemployed a 1 yr deal.

The Brad Johnson mistake was similar to the way this one will be if they continue to sit and we don't get some insurance.

The idea was that we would be fine with Johnson in a support role, just as we believed Hurd, Austin and Stanback had us covered this year.

2 rookie free agents and a 5th round pick that can't stay on the field is not being covered. Especially when these guys have so little playing time, partly due to injuries during their short careers.

Dallas has the time now. They needed to get some insurance 3 months ago when there were more options on the FA market . . .

he didn't say "soft in the gut"

calm down

Lmao...you're "projecting" Bob, and it's becoming obvious to everyone. I'm starting to think you worry about a tummy tuck as much as you do a mock draft. :D

Yeah. I a getting that feeling again where Hurd isn't afraid to lose his job so he thinks it's ok to miss all this time.

He should be pushing himself to be out there. Unless he has a torn muscle and can't even walk then he should be working.

Here's Irvin making the point on his show today...

Irvin talks Hurd and Austin missing time

The problem is that we don't know if these guys are really not able to go or if they are being 'coddled'. I just hope that the players aren't taking time off because they are not willing to tough it out.
