Mother Nature stops practice

Standing on the well-worn track on the end of the practice field, we could see some serious clouds headed our way from the north. And sure enough, Mother Nature let loose some with serious force. High winds, dark clouds and just overall bad looking stuff moved atop the Cowboys practice field and everybody headed inside.

The Cowboys set up a hospitality tent for some VIPs, but the way that thing start whipping around, I didn't want to be underneath it. Jerry didn't want his VIPs under it, either. So he helped usher everybody inside.

Practice has already been cut short today. The locker room is now open, so we're off to go see what everybody has to say. Until then, take a look at the radar.

Who says we can't practice in the rain and high winds huh?

I know back in the 70's the only thing that stopped practice was if lightning struck every player on the team.

These kids just don't understand

Interestingly enough, when I first saw the thread title, I thought it would be something lame like "Player A had to leave the field to go pee"

Waether is getting bad - high winds, dark clouds. Just had a sprinkle of raindrops. Looks like it could be bad indeed.

I have this mental image of Jerry hurridly ushering them inside like a elementary school teacher rounding up her kids on a playground at recess.

They could have just used Roy Williams as a tent to cover the field.......oh nevermind. :banghead:

That is good news. I hope the mentality spreads to others on the team...

:lmao:

Didnt Denny Green one year in Minnesota keep his players on the practice field in a nasty, nasty storm. If it was him, I remember it was raining so hard you couldnt even see the players.
