Of course Wade inherited a better team. No one would dispute that.

But by Parcells' last year, he wasn't coaching that same team, was he?

No, it was all the same except for Leonard Davis and Ken Hamlin. And Parcells still couldn't win a playoff game.

Parcells got half a season of Romo as a first time starter and came within a botched snap.

This season, with basically the same roster, Wade got humiliated 44-6 by the Eagles to miss the playoffs completely. Not to mention the embarrassment the week before, and the obvious off the field problems this team has.

If you can't see the difference, I don't know what to tell you.

*edit* And for the record, no I don't think Parcells did a great coaching job in 2006, particularly at the end. But he never let the team get away from him nearly as bad as Wade has in 2008.

No, Parcells wasn't perfect. His conservative gameplans and vanilla schemes hurt this team just as much as his eyer for talent helped it.

But Hamlin and Davis were key additions he didn't have the luxury of having.

Along with a still-developing Tony Romo as well.

Throw in additions like Pacman Jones, two #1 draft picks (and a quality draft class overall), and the trade for Roy Williams and it's staggering how little Wade Phillips & Co. accomplished with the talent they were given.

Wasn't his fault Tony Romo botched the hold.

Or the Glenn fumble? Or the Newman fumble?

Yet it is Wades fault for all the botches his team makes .....

I get it.

The "no-respect-for-puppett-wade" saga will not stop until he wins a playoff game or jerry fires him whichever comes first. this is the second day of the year and i'm already tired of the "saga". these media pittbulls won't let go. in the voice of wade cup cake: ah chucks!

Parcells gets credit for building the team and re-hauling the organization. Very few are painting him out to be Vince Lombardi on the sidelines here. His team flubbed December in 2006 too, and part of it was his schemes got figured out and he couldn't adjust.

It what Wade is letting happen off the field that is as much if not more of a problem then what Bill let happen on it.

BUt there is no arguing Wade was handed one of the most talented rosters in the league on paper.

Parcells "built" this team with all these same players most people are saying suck and should be cut?

It kinda was, since Parcells wouldnt make Bledsoe hold.

31 teams didnt use their starting QB as a holder

Parcells did

Does anyone here really believe that Bill Parcells wouldn't have won a Playoff Game in 2 Seasons if he started out with the team Wade Phillips did?

Bill Parcells' track record is just too strong to believe that.

He didnt win with the team in his last 2 seasons

Nothing Phil Simms ever says should be listened to, because he is hands down the worst analyst in pro football. The. Worst.
