This week Jerome Boger's crew will work the Cowboys-Seattle game at Cowboys Stadium a week after they were at London's Wembley Stadium for New England-Tampa Bay.

They called 18 penalties and 16 were accepted. The Patriots were penalized 10 times for 66 yards and the Buccaneers were penalized six times for 55 yards

Since 2006, Boger has worked three Cowboys' games and called 18 penalties for 148 yards. The Cowboys are 2-1 in those games.

Here's the breakdown from last week.

Chop block - 1
Ineligible man downfield - 2
Offensive holding - 5
False start - 5
Unnecessary roughness - 1
Delay of game - 2
Offside - 1
Illegal shift - 1

Quarter-by-quarter breakdown:

First - 3
Second - 4
Third - 6
Fourth - 5

they better be ready to call 'em Sunday because we'll give 'em reason to toss a few flags

I actually find those stats a little encouraging. I dislike the more subjective penalties i.e. holding, pass interference (in all it's varieties), and all of the unneccesary roughness because of the inconsistent application of the rules.

Although 5 holding calls is a lot to call, this crew evidently (of course this is a one-game breakdown) was a little more conservative with those more subjective penalties. That is a plus to me.

Between ours and Seattle's lines, this might be difficult to watch.

Oh we can definitely beat that number! Go Cowboys!

No PI's last week in the game they called, that's good for us, seems they stayed away from the Subjective ones.
