Post your good customer service stories

They just offered me a $50 gift card to delete my review. So I deleted it. :p
This story gets more fascinating by the day.

Earlier this morning I received an email from someone named Judy, they are in China so I am sure that is not a real name, offering me $50 to delete the review I wrote on Amazon. A few minutes ago I received another email, this time from "Gladys".

It reads:

"Hello
You haven't replied to my message yet.
I'm from China.
Maybe my English is not good, or the translation is wrong, I can't express my meaning clearly.
If I don't convince clients to delete enough reviews, I risk losing my job
It is not easy to have a job in these difficult times, and I need this income to support my family
You can help me if you don't mind. We'd like to give you a refund of $30 gift card
Can you tell us more about what you think?
please reply to me"

Like I said, my review was not that negative. I wonder what they would have offered my if I wrote a really bad review! Maybe I should have held out of $100! Keep in mind they let me keep the dehumidifier that cost $175 after reimbursing the full amount.

That's good to know, thanks. I've never bought from zzounds, but I'll consider them when I need a guitar. I'm a big Sweetwater fan too. I bought my Sire S7 FM from them. At one point, I wanted to buy an Ibanez Artist AR320 QA, but Sweetwater was out of them, so I bought it from Guitar Center's web page and I bought its case form Sweetwater. I know a lot of musicians badmouth Guitar Center, but I've had good luck with them. I bought my Takamine acoustic from them. The young guy at Guitar Center who helped me buy my acoustic was very good at customer service. It came down to that Takamine or a Seagull, and I liked them both a lot, but the Tak felt a little better in my hands.
I bought a PRS McCarthy from Guitar Center for $1,500 bc it had a small scratch on it. Still not quite the axe as my Dallas Schecter Strat. But I got a Vox amp, Wash, and Line 6 pedal for a really good deal since I bought it all at once. IMO, Guitar Center, at least where I was in the so-called music capital of the world can't be beat on selection or price. But I'm not saying its like that everywhere.
