The last time the newest Cowboy (Jones) and the newest re-signed Cowboy (Owens) were together on a field, Owens caught five passes for 88 yards in Dallas' 45-14 win at Tennessee on Oct. 1, 2006, but he did not score a touchdown.
As part of a pre-game conversation, Owens had to pay up on a friendly wager afterward.
"I kept him out of the end zone, so he gave me his shoes," Jones said after that game. "That was the deal. It came down (Saturday). We talked on the phone."
It was one of the stranger sights to see Owens walk to the locker room in his socks.
Owens nearly had a TD grab, but he couldn't hang on to a Drew Bledsoe pass that was a little too far ahead. Owens was hoping for a replay booth review on the play, but it never came. You also might remember this game as the first one for Owens after his accidental overdose and him playing with a broken bone in his right hand and for some other weird stuff, like Albert Haynesworth stomping on a helmet-less Andre Gurode.
Here's what he said about the shoe-transaction after the game: "I know Pacman. He is a great guy. He asked me for my shoes, and I gave it to him ... He is going to have to put some tissues in those shoes. Those are some big shoes to fill."
I wonder if Pacman still has the cleats?

Dallas Cowboys wideout Terrell Owens most likely will retire with the team, something he said he wanted to do a few weeks ago. But T.O. will turn 35 in December, I should know, I've been to his last two birthday parties.
Anyway, we wonder if Owens will still put up some strong numbers this season at the ripe old age of 34.
Jerry Rice had 108 catches for 1,254 yards with eight touchdowns for the 49ers when he was 34.
Cris Carter, a Hall of Fame finalist last year, had 90 catches for 1,254 yards and 8 scores for the Vikings at 34.
James Lofton, the Hall of Famer, had 35 receptions for 712 yards with only four touchdowns for the Bills at 34.
Steve Largent, Tulsa's own, had 39 receptions for 645 yards with only two touchdowns for Seattle.
Michael Irvin of the Cowboys was retired before he was turned 34, so its unfair to compare his numbers.
Do you believe T.O. will be productive in his mid-30s? That's the question unless the Cowboys sign another receiver to help him. We'll get to Terry Glenn's situation a little later in the day.
