DMN Blog: Pacman teaches Dave Campo the Superman

I admit it, I have no idea what the Superman is.

Video anyone?
You're not missing anything.

That's an embarassment to Campo.

Today's Hip Hop IS a joke.

Campo needs to talk to Zach on how Superman is performed. Maybe a dancing team?

Whew....I hope he isn't teaching him the superman....the soldier boy dance yes....The superman.......I can see Campo supermanning his wife.....LOL :lmao2:

Yes. There is a huge difference between the Soulja Boy dance and the Superman. For those of you who don't know what the real meaning of the Superman is, you REALLY don't want to know. Otherwise, this thread title takes on a whole new meaning.

Wow. A lot of haters here.. that's painfully obvious. If you don't like something, that's fine. But labeling it "stupid" is just plain silly. You stereotype an entire genre of music.. and an entire group of people. Yet, when the Cowboys or their fans are placed in a stereotype - it's "Omg, TROLL, HATER, GO PLAY IN THE ROAD!!!" When anything else(Say, YOUR kind of music) gets hated on - it's "Wow, he's sooo dumb! Kid doesn't know music."

I guess it's all in which way you see it. I see it as the pot calling the kettle black.

And, no, I don't listen to this particular genre of music.

Nobody ever said Campo doesn't know how to have fun during training camp.

First you didn't know there was a song named Make it Rain, now this??

Think I need to take you out to the club some....;)
I'm a country boy DF. I grew up on ranches, around horses and cattle, country music, Paul Harvey on AM radio, Louis L'Amour or Zane Grey novels, Gunsmoke, Bonanza, High Chapparrel, The Virginian, cowboy movies, and the Dallas Cowboys.

If I go dancing it is to hold a girl tight where I can smell her perfume, feel her body next to mine, and polish our belt buckles. I would never understand going to a club where a bunch of guys in a circle would be watching and applauding as I bust my moves or expecting me to watch them.

:D

All joking aside, I openly admit on most things that are pop culture I haven't got a freaking clue. I know some things about what my kids listen to or watch and that's about it. I read all last year about the Souljah Boy dance that the players enjoyed but until this thread I had not seen it. I have never played Guitar Hero and probably never will.

I live in a city, but the country is still in control.

The rap you hear on the radio or see on TV doesn't represent even 1% of all rap music that's out there. There are SO many extremely talented rap artists in the "underground" that you have never heard of.

Mainstream rap doesn't value talent, they only value sales. Which is why there are so many talentless clowns (like Soulja Boy) selling a ton of records.

Sorry bro, but what you are hearing on the radio these days is the furthest thing from hip hop. People really need to take the time and go back and listen to people like Run DMC, Melly Mel, Erik B and Rakim, LNS, Public Enemy, EPMD, Slick Rick, Big Daddy Kane, Kool G Rap, Biz Markie, Boogie Down Productions, Marley Marl, Whodini, MC Lyte (I still listen to Lyte as a Rock), Suga Hill Gang, NAS (illmatic), LL Cool J, Queen Latifah, KRS-1, MC Shan, If you really want to go back you can even throw in Kurtis Blow. Point being is that most of these new cats have no idea what true hip hop is, the stuff you are hearing now is just a different flavor of rap that is commercialized. Do you remember when you fell in love with hip hop?

I used to love listening to Paul Harvey and the rest of the story on the radio with my Grandpa.

Reading that felt like talking to my grandpa

Training camp is long and players along with coaches need to have some comic relief during the down times at practice. The guys are getting in the needed work that is what matters if having a few laughs along the way offends some well then some will just have to be offended.

Well you have a lot in common with my grandpa......
He's a classy guy huh?

:wink2:

I couldn't wait to get out of the country. I used to tell people I was not born with a saddle under my butt. Now, I'd love to have enough property to own a horse again.
