As I recall from last year Bigg is not a great practice guy. He gets beat a lot in training camp and in practice but he shows up in the games when it counts. So it's nothing to be worried about IMO.

Good to see Hatcher growing at DE though.

I don't know what he said, but I wouldn't want to be the guy who riled him up.

... he's not the guy I'd want looking for me ...

:)

Wonder what Davis has to say.

It'll probably be something like "I think I'll make Jason a nice breakfast. I hope he likes PANCAKES!"

;)

They talk to players agents, they talk to the players themselves, they talk to contacts that they have around the league, they gather info a bit here and a bit there and piece it together to make an educated guess of what the other teams are thinking.

It doesn't have to be dirty, sneaky or underhanded...the info is out there if you just know how to look for it and that is why the people in scouting department are professionals.

In talking to teams on draft day, sometimes teams send out false information and sometimes they tip their hands.

How else do the 49ers know the Cowboys are targeting Jerry Rice enough to jump in front of Dallas to draft them?

You're correct. Teams float so much information out there that it's a matter of putting the pieces together. And you're right about the agents. You don't think the agents are talking to teams saying, "Look, my guy got a call from the Cowboys, who are interested in taking him in the fourth round. You may want to pull the trigger in the third."

It's all part of the game.
