Tony Romo is on his way to his third Pro Bowl appearance and Mike Jenkins is on his way to his first.

Romo and Jenkins were named as replacements Monday for Minnesota’s Brett Favre and Antoine Winfield, bringing the Cowboys total to eight for this weekend’s NFL all-star game.

They will see some familiar faces in Fort Lauderdale this week. They will join Jason Witten, Miles Austin, DeMarcus Ware, Jay Ratliff, Leonard Davis and Terence Newman on the NFC roster as well as the Cowboys’ coaches.

Romo threw 26 touchdown passes in 2009 and had a career-low nine interceptions. He also set team records in attempts (550), completions (347), yards (4,483) and 300-yard games (eight).

The NFC quarterbacks will now be Green Bay’s Aaron Rodgers, Philadelphia’s Donovan McNabb and Romo. The original troika was New Orleans’ Drew Brees, Favre and Rodgers.
Jenkins had a team high five interceptions in 15 starts with 23 pass deflections. He expressed some displeasure last week when Newman was added to the Pro
Bowl but his call was answered Monday.

Glad to see Jenkins make it. He had a good year and it's nice to see him get some recognition.

Woohoo! Totally deserving as well. McNabb before Romo is a joke.

I know a lot of guys don't like the probowl but it looks worth watching with so many of our guys playing. I especially like to see what Romo does with more weapons (and time) on offense.

So does Jenkins still get a Pro Bowl added to his resume?

Happy for them, but I'll be pissed if they get hurt in a meaningless game.

Once they've been named to the team they become a pro bowler instead of just an alternate.

I'm happy for both of them. They certainly deserve it. I'd love to see Romo or any of the Cowboys get MVP as meaningless as it is.

Ditto, the off week in between Conference Championships and Super Bowl irritated me, at least now I have something to watch :D I'll be happy to root on the Cowboy players, but I wish they could still light up Eagles players like they've down in three games this season, too bad you can't hit your own NFC teammates :( I guess I'll have to settle for hitting Patriot players

Happy for them and agree that they deserve it.

However, if they keep the probowl in the week between the AFC/NFC Champioship games and the SB, it'll water-down the meaing of a pro-bowler.....on second thought....nevermind, it's just a popularity contest for the most part nowadays anyways.
