Romo on Patrick Crayton and Miles Austin

Tony Romo was asked if he is concerned that Patrick Crayton will be down on himself since he's lost his starting wide receiver job to Miles Austin.

"No,'' Romo said. "Patrick is a consummate professional. He understands and he's going to play a ton. To think that he's not going to be a major part of this offense is wrong.

"I think that Patrick will prepare like he always does, which is very diligently, and he'll work hard and be ready to go.''

Does Romo believe Austin should start after his 250-yard game against Kansas City?

"Miles played a great game,'' Romo said. "It's not for me to decide any of this stuff. It's for the head coach and coordinators to talk about. Those guys come up with those decisions.

"I have to get the guys the ball and let them make plays.''

Romo's head games

For everyone who has e-mailed or blogged how they hate the fact Tony Romo wears his cap backwards for interviews, this is for you.

Romo chatted with a reporter _ OK, it was me _ about the public outcry this creates. A few minutes later, before Thursday's interview session began, he picked up his cap, put it on with the bill over his forehead and smiled.

"Once in a while I make you guys happy,'' he said.

It doesn't bother me, either.

But it bothers my 72-year-old father. He asks me about that everytime ... "Why does he wear his hat that way ???"

I think it's more of a generational thing. My dad doesn't like the way Bill Belichick dresses either.

A spot for Patrick Crayton

Wide receiver Patrick Crayton may be in danger of losing his spot in the Dallas Cowboys starting lineup, but tight end Jason Witten said he will continue to have an important role in the offense. . Witten said quarterback Tony Romo ``probably has more confidence in Patrick than anyone'' in the underneath throws on third down. In the last three games, Romo is 4-for-6 for four first downs and 46 yards on third-down throws to Crayton.

I love me some Crayton finding a soft spot to sit down. I know he's made some mistakes over the years but all told I consider him to be a pretty heady player. But he's a role player.

Loved his TD in the Seattle playoff game.

Thats what I love about this board, ... and hate.

You can get responses from one end of the spectrum to the other, ... and every thing in between.

I don't understand the purpose of wearing ones hat backwards myself.I've asked my brother about it and have yet to get an answer about why he wears his backwards.I must admit it does annoy me.

While ole' Bill looks like a "street urchin",it's hard to argue with the succes he's had in New England.

not everyone wants to have their hat block their face.

when i was a cool young lad i'd wear my hat forwards but pulled down low to make me more mysterious:) and adults would say raise your cap so we can see your handsome face... (ok, really that was only my grandma).

backwards still covers your hair which is often a wreck after being stuffed in a football helmet with weird shaped padding but let's your face show though.

They can wear their caps how they see fit,it still will annoy me.I would like to know who started the fad of wearing ones cap backwards and why though.I like to wear a cap as it was meant,to keep the sun off of my face.I think my viewpoint has to do with being involved in agriculture,I see a cap or cowboy hat as more of a tool that as a fashion statement.

Different kinds of caps. You don't wear adjustable caps backwards. That is just silly. You can only do it with fitted caps, which is classy.

Probably a baseball catcher who forgot to turn it around after taking off the rest of his gear. This was in the years before helmets.
