I luv Sams attitude but I like the comments in bold lettering even better. This is so important for the team to come together as a unit. This team has been all about business this off season and had a no nonsense TC. They've become a close knit bunch. I like the way this team is entering the season..

What's your thoughts on the Commanders?

Kelly on 103.3 says she was there and Hurd was joking. He said it's just a prediction.

The general reaction in the Valley Ranch locker room to Emmitt Smith's seven-win prediction was a shrug of the shoulders.

"I don't care," Roy Williams said. "Emmitt is a great back, Hall of Fame back, Super Bowl back, all-of-the-above back, a diamond-among-trash back, so it's all good."

Emmitt doesn't have a proven track record as a prognosticator. Perhaps Sam Hurd will after the season. Or maybe not.

"I think we can go undefeated," Hurd said with a straight face. "We almost did it during the 13-3 season. It's the same coach, same team, just a couple of different players. I think we have improved and I think we're coming together as a unit, offense, defense and special teams. So I think we can get it done."

Nothing would please me more than to be the team to actually go 19-0 and make the 1972 Dolphins whine.

I don't think this team is the one to do it.

I know. It's a really rough schedule, especially in December when we have struggled.

32 teams can go 19-0, until after week 1.....then that number drops down to 16, or even more, depending on any ties (but don't tell Donovan, it might confuse him)

Please, everyone got extremely touched by an angel that the Magic were the ONE team standing in Clevelands way. I called them 16-0 in the playoffs and was halfway right until the Magic decided to make the most 3's in a series and get lucky:rolleyes:

Weird. I wonder why they didn't get "lucky" against the Lakers.

Call it what you want, bro... a 4-1 series is anything but "luck".

"Luck" was Cleveland winning 1 game on a LeBron hail mary at the buzzer.

Not that it matters what a backup WR predicts, but Hurd should know better. Why give ESPN any ammo whatsoever? You know this prediction will make its way to Bristol, and soon to our TV sets.

Take it as you will but Emmit is being a realist (like me). I understand that will always be the unpopular stance around here but I love my Cowboys no less by seeing things the way I see them. I'm not as scaled back as Emmitt. I do see 9-7 at best. Surprise me...

I like Sam and he was just throwing it out there like an off the wall, just throwing something out there, kind of deal. I don't think he believes they'll go undefeated, but they kept at him and he was just like "why not". Its really no biggy.

"Sam" should take lessons from "Jon" about making predictions...

He was messing around. And Bristol will take anything cowboys say and blow it up. So what. Play with heart everything will be fine. No ones picking them no one really likes them. So they can concentrate on football for awhile.
