I don't understand why Emmitt feels the need to join in with the negative media on this(though his status as a respectable analyst was shot to heck years ago, so it shouldn't be a surprise) because this team has the potential to be very good. If they take multiple injuries at LB or OL then their season will go down the drain, otherwise I like their chances.

IRVING -- It's not exactly Joe Namath predicting the Jets would win the Super Bowl, but Cowboys wide receiver Sam Hurd stepped out on a limb during Wednesday's open locker room session at Valley Ranch. Hurd is putting the '72 Dolphins on notice:

"I think we can go undefeated," Hurd said. "We almost did it during the 13-3 season. It's the same coach, same team, just a couple of different players. I think we have improved and I think we're coming together as a unit, offense, defense and special teams. So I think we can get it done."

To provide a little context, I'm told Hurd was laughing when he delivered that quote.

Roy's comment about Emmitt is a classic. I really do like how Roy is handling the media. He gets bombarded with stupid questions, predictions, and other people's thoughts and opinions non-stop. He's right, those guys aren't there watching film and watching all their practices, so really, all it is is an opinion.

I loved Emmitt, don't get me wrong, but I do like the little jab Roy threw his way.

I honestly don't know why they care about things like this. I mean what's the guy going to say? Oh I think we'll got 11-5. Yeah I'm predicting we'll probably lose 5 games this year.

I mean, seriously, what competitor does that? I would be ashamed of myself in sports if I ever predicted the team I was on would have anything but wins. Thats what you're supposed to say, and feel, when you're a competitor. It's why it's such a stupid question when people ask it. As if someone is going to say anything else when predicting their record.
